The Pro tab shows your current licence status and lets you upgrade to a Pro licence.
Pro features include: unlimited clips, clip import, combined field detection, caps normalisation, long-date conversion, and field highlighting.
Tips
- After upgrading, log out and back in via the Profile tab to refresh your licence status.
What is Pro?
Template Helper Pro unlocks additional capabilities on top of the free version. All core scanning and applying functionality is available for free — Pro adds power-user features for heavier workflows.

Field highlighting
Pro users see colour-coded highlights on fields in the task pane:
- Yellow: Fields with values filled
- Green: Fields completed and validated
- Red: Required fields still empty
This makes it easy to scan a long field list and see what's done at a glance.
Unlimited clips
Free users can save up to 2 clips. With a Pro licence, there is no limit — save as many clips as you need.
Clip import
Pro users can import clips from a .json file. This lets you share clip libraries with colleagues or restore clips from a backup. See Clips for details on exporting and importing.
Combine identical fields
When scanning a document, the same placeholder may appear multiple times (for example, [{Client Name}] in several places). With Combine identical fields enabled:
- Duplicate fields are merged into a single row in the task pane.
- The value you enter is applied to every occurrence in the document at once.
Enable this option in the Pro Features section on the Scan tab.
Normalise CAPS
Some templates contain placeholders in ALL CAPS (for example, [{CLIENT NAME}] or [CLIENT NAME: ]). With Normalise CAPS enabled:
- Field labels are converted to standard capitalisation in the task pane for readability.
- The applied values respect the formatting of the document, not the label casing.
Enable this option in the Pro Features section on the Scan tab.

Visit the Pro tab in the Template Helper task pane for information on upgrading your licence. After purchasing, your licence status on the Profile tab updates automatically on next sign-in.
